    CHAIR YOGA

    Dolores Natividad teaches CHAIR YOGA every Friday. Chair Yoga is an Extra Gentle Yoga for students who do not have easeful mobility.
     The class is a modified version of an Integral Yoga class adapted to the chair! The class structure includes: Sound V
    ibration,Yoga Poses,Breathing, Meditation and Deep Relaxation integrated in a steady, comprehensive flow.
    Learn how to apply the Yogic principles in the workspace, travel or home. People with special concerns are absolutely welcome and encouraged to attend. 

    Dolores Natividad is an exercise physiologist and yoga therapist. She is currently working with hospital patients providing Yoga Arthritic Relief under the founder of Yoga for Arthritis Dr. Steffany Moonaz in a research study in NYC. As a MELT Method Fascia specialist, she incorporates these tools as part of her Yoga Therapy Tool Kit to provide her students with the latest science, stress reduction, and pain relief.

    Dolores teaches Accessible Yoga every Wednesday. Variations are offered at many levels. Accessible Yoga focuses on how to makes the ancient Science of Yoga teachings available to all, regardless of their level of physical ability. Acquire Pain and Stress Management tools while practicing joint friendly movements to strengthen and stretch! No experience is necessary.

Debra is available to teach at your local church or synagogue using scripture meditation.

    AQUA YOGA

    Christa Fairbrother is a YFA Certified teacher, living with arthritis, and teaching yoga are integrated. She credits her life long yoga practice for her lack of pain and helps other people get more comfort in their joints and use the tools of yoga to manage their health. Aqua yoga is her focus because it is kind to people's joints and is so accessible. It is an easy way to start a yoga practice. It allows people who've lost a land practice to continue, and challenges people with an active land practice to explore their bodies in a new way. 

    Aqua Yoga has all the benefits of land based yoga such as stress and pain reduction, better body awareness, and increased flexibility. Being in the water adds an increase in your range of motion, decompresses your spine, reduces the weight on your joints, and is accessible to everyone. All classes are 45 minutes long.

    YOGA FOR ARTHRITIS & CHRONIC PAIN (on going classes)

    Beverly Davis-Baird, E-RTY200/ RYT-500, is an experienced Yoga Alliance certified teacher and certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She specializes in making yoga accessible for individuals of differing abilities and has completed over 800 hours of training. She is certified in Yoga for Arthritis, Yoga for Healthy Aging, yoga for low back pain, yoga for osteoporosis, therapeutic, restorative, gentle, chair, and children's yoga. 

    Yoga for Arthritis and Chronic Pain focuses on conscious, gentle movement of the joints using the breath. Unlike most yoga classes, students do not need to get on the floor. Instead individuals are encouraged to use props such as chairs, straps, and blocks to support themselves in the poses. Emphasis is on adapting movement, relaxation, and meditation practices for the challenges of living with pain, arthritis, and related conditions. A highly adaptive practice for individuals of all ages and abilities, but especially for those with joint pain or limited mobility.
